Rosewood is located at 6260 Blundell Road in Richmond, BC. We have a main floor, a 2nd floor and a new Special Care Unit. In all, Rosewood has room for 150 residents plus one community respite room.

The Main Floor
The main floor has 74 private rooms, two dining areas, a living/recreation room with a large screen television, stereo and library. There is also a cozy sitting area by the fireplace and two small lounges for residents and families to visit, play cards or watch TV. Residents can also access a small resident kitchen and a computer lab.
There is an enclosed garden courtyard in the centre of the facility and a secure east courtyard off the main dining room and flower and raised vegetable gardens and patio area.
These facilities are open at all times for your enjoyment.
The Second Floor
The newly refurbished 2nd floor has 41 private rooms, a central dining room, living room, a quiet den, south lounge, and solarium.
Special Care Unit
This wing was added in 2006 and designed especially for people who have dementia. It has 35 private rooms, plus 1 respite room, each with special features like auto shut off taps in the bathrooms, dimmers on bedroom lights, dressers with special easy grip handles and memory boxes outside the room. (The memory box is a locked display cabinet outside each room. It is the perfect place for special mementos and is valuable to help orient our residents.)
It is designed to provide care to those diagnosed with dementia, (such as Alzheimer's disease) or who are at risk for wandering.
Our approach to care focuses on flexibility to meet individual resident needs as they arise as opposed to a fixed schedule.
The components of the program encompass the following:
- continuity of staff
- recreational therapy programs until 6:45 p.m.
- a least restraint policy is practised to ensure minimum agitation.
- flexible breakfast times so that residents may sleep in.
- finger foods and beverages available 24 hours a day.
