Outreach Services:
In partnership with BC Housing and the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority, Rosewood also offers a Wellness Program – an outreach program for tenants who live independently in the Towers behind Rosewood Manor.
Program Objectives / Deliverables

Participation Criteria:
- This program is based on voluntary participation.
Program Content:
Meal Program/Community Kitchen, such as:
- Nutrition Counseling – small group or 1-1
- Cooking Class – how to prepare meals for 1-2 people
- Smart Shopping – preparing foor on a limited budget
Health Programs, such as:
- Fitness/Exercise Classes – walking, yoga, aquasize
- Falls Prevention
- Tenant Support – phone checks and visits
- Weight Monitoring
- Blood Pressure Monitoring
- Podiatrist/Foot Care Services
- Flu Clinics
- Dentist
- Reflexology
- Massage
- referrals such as OT, PT, Richmond Addiction Services, Mental Health Team
Social/Recreational/Education Programs, such as:
- Outings
- Teas
- Games/Activities
- Holiday Socials
- Volunteer Services
- Computer Lessons
- Read 'n' Write ESL
Chronic Disease Management Programs, such as:
- Self Management
- Diabetes
- Congestive Obstructive Pulmonary Diseases
- Depression
- Monthly guest speakers: disease management, self management
Congregated Meal program:
- Affordable $5.00 per meal or 5 meals for $20.00
- Main meal of the day
- 5 days per week
The Program has been very successful and has measurably and drastically reduced the number of admissions to the Emergency Room by people who occupy those buildings.
