Based on 127 survey responses, feedback from 78 residents and 49 families reflects a highly positive overall experience at Rosewood Manor. Respondents consistently praised the kindness, compassion, and dedication of staff, describing the home as caring, welcoming, supportive, and resident-focused. Many families expressed gratitude for the quality of care provided and indicated they were satisfied or very satisfied with their loved one’s experience. Recreation programs, music therapy, volunteer involvement, and social activities were frequently highlighted as valued services that enhance residents’ quality of life and contribute to a positive community atmosphere. Families also recognized the home’s clean, safe, and comfortable environment and appreciated the efforts of staff to support residents’ well-being daily.
While the overall feedback was overwhelmingly positive, respondents also identified opportunities to further strengthen services and resident experiences. Suggestions included expanding language and culturally responsive supports, particularly for Chinese-speaking residents and families, increasing individualized engagement opportunities for residents with dementia, enhancing meal variety and cultural food options, improving response times for assistance requests, and strengthening communication with families regarding activities, services, and care updates. Some respondents also noted opportunities to improve laundry services and support for personal belongings. The Management/Leadership team have analyzed the results and will look at feasible options to address some concerns brought forth.
Overall, the survey findings demonstrate a strong culture of caring, professionalism, and commitment to resident well-being at Rosewood Manor. The feedback highlights many strengths that are valued by residents and families while providing constructive suggestions that can support ongoing quality improvement. The results indicate that Rosewood Manor is highly regarded by those it serves and is well positioned to continue building on its positive reputation through ongoing service enhancements and resident-centred care initiatives.
